We strive to develop our business in a responsible way, operating with sourcing practices that support people and are aligned with environmental and social considerations.
A significant part of our commitment to protect our planet involves halting climate change indirectly caused by land conversion due to agricultural expansion. We prioritize taking careful action and fostering collaboration along the value chain. Arla is working to ensure that the direct and indirect use of primary risk commodities, such as palm oil, soy and fibre, is aligned with requirements related to deforestation and land conversion. This also includes soy and palm used in animal feed on farms. We report on our progress annually in our financial and sustainability reports.
It is essential for Arla to operate in a responsible manner, and we expect our suppliers and business partners to live up to the same standards concerning environmental, social, and human rights aspects. To this end, we encourage all our partners in the value chain to adopt the principles outlined in our Code of Conduct for suppliers and Business Partners.
