Beauvais is purchasing the pasta company Pastella A/S, previously owned by Tholstrup Cheese, part of the Arla Foods’ group.

Pastella is currently the market leader within fresh pasta in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Holland, and is headquartered in Fredericia with production units in Fredericia and Skovlund. Pastella A/S has an annual turnover of approx. DKK 130 million and employs a staff of 73.

”The sale of Tholstrup's pasta business reflects our wish to concentrate on our core business. We’re pleased to sell to Beauvais whom we’re convinced can continue and develop the business," says Arla Foods' Vice CEO Povl Krogsgaard.

Beauvais produces and markets a wide range of food products under the Beauvais, FRESH Light, Risifrutti, Den Gamle Fabrik, Grandiosa and Glyngøre brands and is market leader within most of its product areas. Beauvais has a turnover of approx. DKK 650 million and employs a staff of 210.

”The fresh pasta market is growing, and the purchase of Pastella will strengthen Beauvais’ brand portfolio as well as further developing this area in the Nordic countries,” says Beauvais’ CEO Per Fallang.
