The situation in Saudi Arabia remains tense after recent weeks’ terror actions. On Monday, however, the local EU Ambassadors reviewed developments and concluded that there are no immediate grounds for reassessing security conditions.

However, the EU embassies have offered to repatriate the families of their staff. Arla Foods is monitoring the situation closely in conjunction with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the local authorities and on Monday decided to offer to repatriate the families of its six employees. At the time of writing, the families concerned had not yet made their decisions.

Arla Foods employs 800 people from 30 different nations at its Saudi plants of whom 20 are Danes.

Arla Foods is an international dairy company owned by more than 8,400 farmers from Denmark, Sweden, the UK, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Arla Foods is one of the leading players in the international dairy arena with well-known brands like Arla®, Lurpak®, Puck® and Castello®. Arla Foods is focused on providing good dairy nourishment from sustainable farming and operations and is also the world's largest manufacturer of organic dairy products.
