Arla Foods’ warehouses in the flood-stricken towns along the River Elbe have been spared the consequences of the current disaster. However, the situation is critical for many customers. By next week, Arla Foods’ office in Dusseldorf should have some indication of the effects of the disaster on sales. So far it is known that at least two Edeka stores in Dresden, the worst hit area, have been completely flooded.

Arla Foods has donated a pallet of Buko products to the Red Cross, which is co-ordinating some of the emergency operations in the disaster areas.

Arla Foods is an international dairy company owned by more than 8,400 farmers from Denmark, Sweden, the UK, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Arla Foods is one of the leading players in the international dairy arena with well-known brands like Arla®, Lurpak®, Puck® and Castello®. Arla Foods is focused on providing good dairy nourishment from sustainable farming and operations and is also the world's largest manufacturer of organic dairy products.
