Sales Director Fritz Hegewald, Arla Foods, presented a check for DKK 1.1 million to the players as a bonus from Arla Foods, the team’s main sponsor. Captain Jan Heintze, accompanied by players Peter Madsen (left) and Mads Jørgensen, who made their first appearance in the team, received the cheque.

Following their victory over Iceland and subsequent qualification for the World Cup, the Danish national team was rewarded by the team’s main sponsor, Arla Foods.
The players received a qualification bonus of DKK 1.1 million as part of Arla Foods’ sponsorship agreement.

“We’re, of course, delighted and proud about the Danish victory,” said Arla Foods’ Sponsor Manager Benny Eriksen. “The players not only secured a place in the finals, they did so in the finest possible way.”

“It’s valuable to us that the World Cup is being held in Japan and South Korea because the two countries are among our important markets outside Europe,” adds Benny Eriksen. “Now a great deal depends on the World Cup draw which takes place on December 1.”
