Buko in the German market received a host of gold medals at this year’s quality assessment event held by the German Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft e. V. (DLG) while Höhlenkäse Classic and Höhlenkäse Mild both achieved silver. A range of other Arla Foods’ products also achieved recognition. In total, Arla products won 29 gold medals, 17 silver medals and 3 bronze medals.

DLG’s annual assessments centre on criteria ranging from taste, appearance and packaging to whether the products meet the requirements for their type of products. If, for instance, there is only 43% fat in the dry matter in a 45 cheese, the product will not be considered.
DLG is an independent interest group whose quality assessment is well known by German consumers.
