Arla has a strong core banking group based on long-term relationship banking.

The group funding  is obtained from diversified sources; mortgage backed bonds, corporate bonds, supra-nationals, commercial paper and facilities with the core banking group.

Funding and cash management is centralised at group level.

Arla aims for a conservative capital structure matching that of a robust investment grade company.
