HR Director joins Arla's Executive Management Group

As a further sign of Arla Foods' commitment to building competencies and encouraging staff development, Corporate HR Director Ola Arvidsson has been appointed Executive Director.
Ola Arvidsson. With effect from June 1, Ola Arvidsson joins the Executive Management Group (EMG) to ensure HR's ongoing integration into Arla Foods' overall business procedures.
"Now as well as in the future, HR will be a key element in operating a healthy and strong business. To be able to attract and retain highly qualified staff and to continually develop their skills to reflect the challenges ahead is a competitive parameter. Ola will strengthen our focus on HR when we make decisions affecting the HR area," says CEO Peder Tuborgh.
Ola Arvidsson was appointed Corporate HR Director at the beginning of 2006 when he joined Arla Foods from Unilever. Although, within EMG, HR has been one of Peder Tuborgh's responsibilities since 2005, the appointment of Ola Arvidsson is the first time for HR to be directly represented at group management level.
"Ola and I have worked intently on programmes designed to develop managers and staff. We're currently implementing the new initiatives and Ola's appointment underlines the fact that we want to continue to drive the HR element within an EMG context," says Peder Tuborgh.
Ola Arvidsson's appointment increases the EMG group from eight to nine members.
