Hirtshals and Arla settle

Hirtshals Cooperative Dairy and Arla Foods have reached a settlement in the dispute between the two companies.
The parties have agreed to keep the details of the settlement confidential.
Director Søren Hansen, Hirtshals Cooperative Dairy commented:
”The settlement, which benefits both companies, involves a payment to Hirtshals Cooperative Dairy. We’re satisfied with the outcome and look forward to a situation where both dairy companies co-exist in a spirit of mutual respect.”
Søren Hansen emphasises that Hirtshals Cooperative Dairy had no wish to prolong the dispute with Arla Foods.
”We want to maintain a separate identity vis-a-vis the customers who have supported us throughout all this,” Søren Hansen stated.
Managing Director Peder Tuborgh, Arla Foods, also welcomes the end of the dispute.
”We look forward to continuing our cooperation with our colleagues in the Danish dairy sector and I’m pleased with the solution. Although it involves a payment to Hirtshals Cooperative Dairy, Arla is satisfied with the result and looks forward to reestablishing our good relations with Hirtshals Cooperative Dairy.”
