Topping out at Høgelund Mejeri

After six months’ construction work at Høgelund Dairy, the dairy last week celebrated the topping out ceremony for its 12,500 sq. m. large extension.
The new buildings are expected to be ready for commissioning in early March after which the existing production facilities will be renovated.
Until then, parallel production will run in the older buildings which will subsequently be demolished.
By the end of the year most of the renovation programme will have been completed, increasing the dairy’s capacity from 6,000 to 15,000 tons blue mould cheese annually.
A visitors’ gallery will be installed to allow the dairy’s guests to view the production lines.
