Sheffield Park has been given the go-ahead for a top green standard.

Following a three-month audit, the dairy has been recommended for the ISO 14001 award, in recognition of its dedication to the environment..

Karin Hansen, environment manager for Arla Foods UK, said it was a huge achievement for the Sussex site and is down to the hard work of everyone there.

“Without their commitment, the audit would not have been so successful because the standard relies on the dedication of the whole team,” said Karin Hansen.

“It is a long term goal for all Arla sites to gain this accreditation. Increasing numbers of customers ask about our environmental practices as this issue continues to move higher up the agenda.”

Sheffield Park is now awaiting final approval before it can hoist the ISO flag and boast its green credentials along with Ashby and Manchester dairies.
