Svensk Mjölk, Sweden’s dairy association, has appointed Arla Foods’ HR Director, Anne-Marie Dahlén, Managing Director from January 1, 2005. She will succeed the association’s current head, Sven Malmström, who is to retire.

“The Swedish dairy industry is facing substantial change and we need a director who can lead Svensk Mjölk on to the next stage and who is familiar with the situation of Swedish milk producers,” says Svensk Mjölk Chairman, Christer Eliasson. “This is why we have been looking for a candidate who is experienced at driving change.”

A Civil Engineer by training, Anne-Marie Dahlén specialised in food products. She has many years of experience from a variety of positions at Arla Foods, most recently as Director of Human Resources. She can also draw on a wide network within Sweden’s food industry.
