At a meeting in Stockholm on Wednesday and Thursday, Arla Foods' Board of Representatives elected a new Board of Directors. The Board subsequently elected Knud Erik Jensen from Denmark as Chairman and Åke Hantoft from Sweden as Deputy Chairman.
New on the board are Viggo Ø. Bloch from Denmark and Gunnar Pleijert from Sweden.
Since the merger between Arla and MD Foods in 2000, Knud Erik Jensen, formerly Chairman of MD Foods, has held the post of Deputy Chairman. Knud Erik Jensen runs a farm near Grenå with his son.
