Arla Foods in Sweden registered a 6% fall in the number of co-operative members in 2002/2003, i.e. 406 members.
In Denmark the fall was 6.7 % or 478 co-operative members. Overall Arla Foods now has 12,700 co-operative members against 13,600 the previous year.
Meanwhile in Danmark, the average annual supply rose by 69,000 kg to 615,000 kg. In Sweden the corresponding figures were 17,000 kg and 341,000 kg.
The average Arla co-operative member now supplies 483,000 kg milk per year.
