For the third year running, Arla Foods was awarded the prestigious Primax award for the best international cheese supplier to the German market.

On Monday this week, the independent German agricultural association, DLG (Deutsche Landswirtschaft-Gesellschaft) announced its annual awards at the world’s largest food fair, Anuga, in Cologne. For dairy products of a particularly high quality, Arla Foods received a total of 22 gold and 24 silver medals.

Based on evaluations of flavour, appearance and packaging, the Primax award goes to the supplier that achieves the highest aggregate score.

”It’s with great pride that we receive the award for the third year running,” said Henrik Stigkær, Executive Director of Arla Foods Germany. “We see it as a recognition of our endeavours to produce added value, consumer-oriented products and, therefore, as proof that we’re on the right track.“

The DLG medals are acknowledged by German consumers as quality stamps and we use them to great advantage in our German marketing activities. Our popular Buko range is, for instance, emblazoned with the medals.”

The Primax price was presented to Henrik Stigkær, Executive Director of Arla Foods Germany by Phillip Freiherr von dem Bussche, President of DLG.
