Arla Foods exports feta, blue mould, cream cheese and shredded cheese to Holland, one of the Europe Division’s key markets.

A targetted effort to raise Arla Foods’ profile in the Dutch market recently earned Arla top marks in the category “Most successful cheese launches.”

The competition, which is generally regarded as a reliable image survey, is organised once a year by Holland’s most important retail magazine. The panel of judges consists of buyers from the retail trade, i.e. Arla Foods’ customers.

”In the past six months we’ve taken several initiatives aimed at strengthening awareness of Arla Foods in Holland,” says Kim Pørksen, Sales Director, the Europe Division. “Our range is now linked to the red Arla Brand and we’ve taken part in a trade show and appointed a Dutch key account manager. This has given us a considerable lift.”

”In recent years we’ve seen strong progress in the Dutch market so that Arla Foods is now the foremost foreign supplier of cheese,” Kim Pørksen adds.

Arla Foods last year had a turnover of 25 million Euro in the Dutch market.

Arla Foods is an international dairy company owned by more than 8,400 farmers from Denmark, Sweden, the UK, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
