Arla Foodservice, in conjunction with Cerealia Unibake (the former Hatting), and Merrild Coffee Systems took gold in the Danish section of the Sial d'Or competition with the Café A'roma concept.

Café A'roma will now compete in the international finals at Sial in Paris in October against products from 25 other countries within the catering category.

The A'roma concept is aimed at canteens and course centres and offers a piece of cake together with a cup of high quality coffee with hot milk.

Category Manager in Arla Foods’ Denmark Division, Henrik Diekema, said:
"One factor behind Cafe A’roma’s success is that it’s very rare for three producers join forces to produce one concept. Most often, the winners are ready-made products.”

Arla Foods is an international dairy company owned by more than 8,400 farmers from Denmark, Sweden, the UK, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
