Following a two-year process, Arla Foods' Polish subsidiary has received EU accreditation making Arla Foods one of the first dairy companies in Poland to meet EU standards.

"EU accreditation is an important stamp of quality, ”says Kristian Nielsen, head of Arla Foods’ Polish subsidairy. “The cheeses we produce here can now be exported to EU countries. Non-EU countries that operate similar requirements as the EU countries will now also be open to us.”

Arla Foods' Polish dairy was examined in great detail in order to ensure compliance with EU regulations - from the handling of protective clothing to the monitoring of the dairy’s production.

Arla Foods' activities in Poland cover the yellow cheese dairy in Goscino, a large warehouse in Tychowo and a smaller one in Warsaw. Arla Foods Poland has an annual turnover of DKK 100 million and a staff of 110.
