More than 2,000 cases of Foot & Mouth in the UK

Early this week, the British veterinary authorities recorded the 2000th case of Foot & Mouth in the UK since the outbreak began on February 20. There is still an average of 3 new cases of the disease per day. The most recent outbreak was in Northumberland where it was believed that the disease had been eradicated.
