Organic products under the Harmonie brand are proving the biggest crowd puller at Arla Foods’ stand at the international food exhibition, Sial, which opened in Paris on Sunday.
US buyers, in particular, have shown interest in the Harmonie product family.
“We’ve had very positive meetings with two of the three key American organic specialist chains and we expect to start supplying organic products from the beginning of 2001,” said Jens Bang Pedersen, Director of Arla Foods’ US subsidiary.
Arla Foods’ centrally located stand is attracting considerable visitor traffic and visitors have been keen to hear more about the Arla and MD Foods merger. An edited version of a video produced for “name change day” on June 6, including clips from the first days at Sial, is running non-stop at the stand.
The exhibition closes on Thursday, October 26.

Arla Foods' organic range has attracted much attention at the Sial exhibition in Paris.
