"Although the Swedish competition authorities have given their approval, the merger is not yet a reality," says Managing Director Jens Bigum who wishes to emphasise that the two companies remain separate organisations until the final legal requirements have been completed. This is likely to happen the day before the official merger date of April 17.
"Before this date, we are not permitted to take measures to implement the merger," says Jens Bigum. The companies are not permitted to contact customers, suppliers and partners, official bodies, etc using the name Arla Foods.
