Princess Alexandra of Denmark has agreed to open Arla Foods' new large dairy at Taulov near Fredericia on September 1.

Covering 28,000 sq. m, the equivalent of three football pitches, the dairy will be one of the largest cheese dairies in Scandinavia. The dairy's 100 production staff will produce almost all types of firm cheese.
A 340 m visitors' gallery will enable visitors to view modern cheese production in operation after cheese dairies, for reasons of hygiene, have been more or less closed to visitors for many years.
35,000 cows from Funen and Southern Jutland will supply milk to the dairy.

Arla Foods is an international dairy company owned by more than 8,400 farmers from Denmark, Sweden, the UK, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Arla Foods is one of the leading players in the international dairy arena with well-known brands like Arla®, Lurpak®, Puck® and Castello®. Arla Foods is focused on providing good dairy nourishment from sustainable farming and operations and is also the world's largest manufacturer of organic dairy products.
