Even before the campaign for the new product from MD Catering Service, Hot CheeseDog, has got underway, the concept has been awarded a gold medal in the Danish section of the Sial d'Or competition. The product can now be entered in the international competition to be held in Paris on May 25-26 where CheeseDog will compete with products from 25 other countries in the catering category.

Jointly developed by MD Foods and Hatting Bageri, CheeseDog consists of a large finger roll filled with Hot CheeseDog cream (produced at Birkum Ost), iceberg lettuce, sausage, chilli dressing and raw onion.
The international Sial food fair is held in Paris every two years. In 1990 MD Foods' Gourmalite, a cottage cheese with dressing, won the dairy products' category and in 1986 Cultura achieved second place in the same competition.
