On Monday, staff at Fredericia Dairy were informed that MD Foods' Supervisory Board had approved the closure of the dairy with effect from March 27. While most of the dairy's production will be transferred to Tyrstrup Dairy, the Hobro and Århus dairies will also take over some of Fredericia's production.

The closure is part of MD Foods' on-going rationalisation programme following last year's merger with Kløver Mælk.
Fredericia Dairy's closure means that liquid milk production in Denmark will now be concentrated at Slagelse Dairy Centre, Tyrstrup Dairy, Enigheden in Århus and Hobro Dairy.
