The EU Commission last Tuesday, approved the joint venture between Arla Foods and the Greek food company, Delta.

In June, the companies announced plans for a joint venture comprising Delta Selections and Arla Foods Hellas to be known as Arla Foods Hellas S.A. Delta will hold a 40 % stake and Arla Foods 60 % in the new company.
Delta Selections produces Greek feta based on sheep and goats' milk and the new company will, therefore, be the largest importer of dairy products in the Greek market as well as an important local producer.
The joint venture means that original Greek feta will now become part of Arla Foods' international speciality cheese portfolio.

Arla Foods is an international dairy company owned by more than 8,400 farmers from Denmark, Sweden, the UK, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Arla Foods is one of the leading players in the international dairy arena with well-known brands like Arla®, Lurpak®, Puck® and Castello®. Arla Foods is focused on providing good dairy nourishment from sustainable farming and operations and is also the world's largest manufacturer of organic dairy products.
