For nearly two years Arla Foods has been the only company in the world with the skill to produce sliced blue cheese. This was recently acknowledged when Rosenborg Sliced Blue Cheese won the Canadian Grand Prix New Products Awards 2000.

One other product from the Rosenborg Range, Crumbled Blue Cheese, competed in the final. The two products, which were up against a wide range of competing products and packaging, are both produced at Høgelund's Dairy

Rosenborg Sliced Blue Cheese was launched in the Candaian market in 1998. Since then sales of this high end product have been rising.

"The award will contribute to further consumer interest in the range, not least within the trade," said Anne Marie Nørgaard, Overseas Division. "The award provides a well-deserved boost for the Rosenborg range."
