To a significant extent, Arla Foods will inherit the visions upheld by MD Foods, including the ambition of becoming Northern Europe's preferred dairy group for customers, consumers and milk producers.

The group, Jens Bigum underlined, will also be the market leader in Northern Europe for all types of dairy products with strong brands and strong consumer confidence. In a number of selected markets outside Northern Europe, the Group will continue to provide a specially adapted range of profitable dairy products.
In the Ingredients area, Arla Foods will establish itself as one of the world's leading global suppliers of added value, milk-based ingredients for selected areas within the food industry.
With respect to the co-operative owners, the vision remains unchanged, i.e. Arla Foods is intent on paying some of the most competitive settlement prices in the EU.
The quest for further growth is further embodied in the statement: Arla Foods will grow through organic development, acquisition and the development of profitable products.
