MD Foods Ingredients is investing in a new whey protein factory in Argentina in a joint venture with Argentina's largest dairy, Sancor, which will supply the 600 million kg whey required per year from its 14 modern cheese dairies.

At an expected cost of approx. DKK 300 million, the new whey protein factory is expected to be up and running by next year. Based on whey protein production at Danmark Protein at Nr. Vium, MD Foods has significant expertise within this area as well as an existing international customer network. The new factory will enable MD Foods Ingredients to expand production in order to continue servicing this important customer base.
Whey proteins are used as ingredients in other food products.
