Organic Spread in UK shops

An organic version of the successful Lurpak Spreadable has been launched in the UK under the name "Harmonie Organic Spreadable." The first multiple to list the product is ASDA, but MD Foods expects to see the product in a number of other UK multiples in the near future.
"The exact size of the market for Harmonie Organic Spreadable is hard to define," says Product Manager Mikael Horsbøll, MD Foods. "But we're optimistic. Although the UK market for organic milk products is not particularly large, sales are rising by some 25-30 % per year."
The launch of Harmonie Organic Spreadable means that MD Foods now sells four organic products under the Harmonie brand in the UK. Over the next few months another two will be added.
The UK version of organic Lurpak Spreadable is made at Rødkærsbro Butter Dairy.
