MD Foods' organic cream cheese, Harmonie, will be available from the British multiple, Tesco, from early July as the second in a series of organic products for the UK market.
Although UK sales of organic products remain modest, supermarkets are increasingly showing an interest in such products.
UK multiples are currently offering MD Foods' organic products under the Harmonie brand. Sales will be supported by a range of marketing activities during the autumn.
MD Foods sells approx. 600 tons organic butter in the UK, the equivalent of 70 per cent of the market.
Harmonie cream cheese is produced at Vordingborg Flødeost which has obtained the British Soil Association's approval for organic products.
