We have a varied and interesting opportunity for a dual role, which sits within the Logistics Department, reporting into the Team Leader.   Working part-time (32 hours per week) part of the role is as a Van Driver, which will include some manual handling of our products, and also to assist in our on-site Cheese Shop.  The role will involve working on a dayshift only Monday – Thursday and Saturday mornings.


Ready for a challenge?

Working within the Logistics team, your duties include:

  • Delivery of our products to trade customers across Devon specifically including; loading of the van, handling of monies from sales and engagement with trade customers as a representative of Arla Foods
  • Handling of 20kg blocks cutting to specific shop and customer requirements

  • Taking telephone orders received into the shop

  • Inputting customer and trade data onto our systems to generate invoices

  • Serving customers within the shop, operating the till and card reader facilities to ensure we maintain our current high standards of customer satisfaction

  • Undertaking stock counts of our products and cashing up of the till

  • Filling in documentation for food safety and traceability in relation to transport movements of products sold to any customers.

If you enjoy getting out on the road, variety in your role and dealing with people then this could be the role for you!

You will need to hold a full UK driving license and be happy with working in a delivery/manual handling role as well as front of house.  Ideally you will have some previous work experience within a Van driving capacity. 

Ultimately you will have excellent customer facing skills to provide great customer service as out reputation is everything.  Good verbal, numerical and communication skills are essential.  The site is a small 'feels like family' oriented environment and you will play a pivotal part so its key you enjoy working within a small team as well as on an individual basis.   Lastly you will require good computer literacy skills and strong organisational skills.
