About the Internship
In March 2019, Arla Foods launched its ambitious Sustainability strategy, aiming at becoming a Carbon Net Zero company by 2050. The strategy is being implemented throughout a number of workstreams, covering the entire value chain from sustainable dairy production at our owners’ farms to inspiring the consumers to pursue a healthy diet. To engage our employees in the green journey, we have initiated a change programme that encompasses awareness creation, capability development, a health agenda and much more.
As we are gradually launching the change projects in the early 2020, the internship will allow you to play a decisive role in shaping some of the change initiatives, just as you can exert influence over the scope of the internship depending on interests and qualifications.
The internship will furthermore give you exposure to a wide range of colleagues from different functional areas, incl. senior leaders, as the change agenda reflects on the workstreams established by the overarching sustainability strategy.
Who are you?
You are studying Business Administration, HRM, Psychology or a similar degree.
- Previous experiences within a related field is an advantage, but not a requirement
- You have excellent oral - and written English skills, as it is our corporate language
- You bring an energetic and open mindset, willing to learn and taking initiative to support the progress of tasks and projects
- Communication with different functions and new colleagues is not a challenge, but something you enjoy
What do we offer?
While the sustainability change agenda is owned by our Sustainability Board, which is governed by four members of Arla’s executive management team, the change programme execution is run by our Sustainability Change Manager, who reports into the Sr. Director for HR MICS (Marketing, Innovation, Communication, and Sustainability), Food Service & Denmark.
We are located in our global headquarter and sit together with our great colleagues in the Sustainability & CSR teams. So, you will get plenty of opportunity to follow the progress of our Sustainability strategy in parallel. As the change agenda is global for Arla Foods, the role also requires frequent touchpoints with colleagues in the other markets. On day-to-day basis you will report to our Sustainability Change Manager.
In addition to gaining first-hand experience with how one of the largest dairy companies globally work with sustainability, you will be able to translate theoretical frameworks on change into practice, thereby making a significant contribution to our green journey. More specifically, you will enhance your skills within communication and stakeholder management and grow as a young professional through mentoring with manager.
