We currently have a vacancy for a Quality Co-ordinator within the QEHS (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety team) working at our creamery in Lockerbie, one of the largest processors of milk in the UK converting over 500M litres of milk per annum into high quality fresh milk, cheese and whey products. This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday, but with the flexibility to provide support over a weekend when occasionally required.
About the Role
This is an exciting, growth role providing support and technical expertise to our site teams to maintain, govern and further develop our food safety and quality management systems and product compliance. In doing so, you will help ensure we comply fully with legal, Arla Foods and Customer standards at all times.
You will be involved in developing and delivering HACCP, and other risk management tools, quality systems, auditing, problem-solving, data management and hold a key role in helping Colleagues across our site to excel in their food safety and quality responsibilities at all times. As a key part of the QEHS team, you will support other team members and deputise where appropriate.
Candidates will require a sound working knowledge of food manufacturing operations across the supply chain, preferably with dairy or chilled foods experience. Some practical experience with the development of HACCP and quality management systems to current BRC and retailer/foodservice compliance standards would be an advantage. Candidates must have a positive, organised and resilient approach to all aspects of their work, and to be able to maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders. Strong IT skills and experience of MS Office essential, with any exposure to SAP being a benefit.
