Would you like to make sure our nutritious dairy ingredients can be enjoyed by people across the world?
As part of Global Regulatory Affairs, you will become part of a young and relatively new team to make sure our products can travel freely across our global markets.
“As you’ll be the one who knows the regulatory landscape and international trade infrastructures related to the food industry, your work will have immense impact on how we do business in Arla Foods Ingredients,” says Tania Porsgaard Bayer, Director of Global Regulatory Affairs, Arla Foods Ingredients.
About the job
At our office in Aarhus, you become part of the Global Regulatory Affairs, Arla Foods Ingredients team. Joining 6 colleagues, you will be 1 of our 2 trade experts responsible for ensuring that we have access to our global markets and the unrestricted movement of our products.
Doing so, you will work with our dairies to make sure that we comply with the regulatory trade requirements for all our products. You will help our shipping and logistics departments handle trade impediments, and participating in various trade related projects, you will work closely with our supply chain. More specifically, you will:
- Review dairy and product registrations to ensure that they are registered properly with the authorities and that all our dairies have the right trade certificates in place
- Troubleshoot if goods end up in customs, determining what the obstacle is and how we may resolve it
- Ensure that the background documentation for all raw materials is in order and thereby securing export of the final products worldwide
- Participate in larger projects, such as the analysis of the consequences of Brexit and what measures to take to minimise impact, trade policies for the US, production in China, etc.
- Participate in industry forums and internal and external trade associations
There will be some travel associated with the position, for instance, in regard to the registration of factories worldwide, participation in trade associations, etc. but no more than 20-25 days a year.
Who are you?
You have experience with international foods legislation as well as trade politics and certificates within animal-based foods – e.g. from a similar position within the foods industry or from a public authority.
It comes natural to you to argue for your case and make critical decisions with huge consequences for the business. You have excellent communication skills in Danish and English, and you thrive being in frequent contact with customers, authorities and colleagues alike.
What do we offer?
You will be welcomed by a global company that is experiencing accelerating growth – and exciting new trade possibilities. We have a great focus on innovation which shines through everything we do, and every new step we take involves new trade challenges and opportunities.
Likewise, the team you join is growing fast – 1 year ago, our team had 2 members. Now, you are the 6th colleague we are hiring. That is why this is a place where no two days will be the same, and you will truly get to make your mark on our future journey.
We are committed to professional development and promoting from
within. Our positive and collaborative culture will bring out the best in you. And you will join a market leader who produces world leading nutritious ingredients that make things better for our customers, the farmers who own us and the whole world.
