Influence the global quality framework
You will become part of Global QEHS in Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) and join the Quality team of 10 colleagues. QA consist of three groups – Compliance, Supplier Quality Management and Business Quality Management. All with an important role to work closely together with customers, suppliers, manufacturing sites and our Commercial and R&D organisations.
In the Supplier Quality Management group, you will take on the role of Senior Specialist as responsible for Whey Sourcing for all quality aspects. Together with a cross functional team you ensure approval and implementation of new suppliers and follow up on the global quality framework. This will take you travelling a few days a month being together with suppliers, primarily in Europe. Specifically, you:
- Take lead or participate in cross functional projects
- Audit whey suppliers
- Develop and maintain Whey specifications
- Hands-on Guide and support on whey issues, new ingredients and processing aids, new cleaning agents, changes that may affect the whey
- Participate in audits as well as internal team meetings and team feedback
- Take lead on global quality initiatives matching your competencies

You will touch base with the production site, our supply chain organisation, our R&D organisation, the regulatory team and our customer team. So you have to think cross-functionally and use your quality mindset to find short and long term solutions” explains Quality Team Manager Merete Höök Gravgaard.
Solid experience within the food manufacturing business
You hold a degree in Dairy Science, Food Science or similar technical education. Experience working in the food/pharma/biotech manufacturing business, preferably in a quality function or dairy production is preferable. Ideal to us is if you hold good knowledge of food chemistry, food microbiology, food safety, quality assurance and food production – combined with a strong business understanding. Moreover, you speak and write English effortlessly, and it is a plus if you also master Danish.
On a personal level, you thrive in the intersection between operational work and project management, and experience with both disciplines will be considered an advantage. You possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to build great relations and coach your colleagues to work within your framework. It is up to you to ensure productive collaboration across functions, so your personal competencies within being proactive, analytical, detail and goal oriented will be needed to create results on a daily basis.
