Senior Projektledare / Project Manager, Capex Projects, Arla, Sweden - Stockholm

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager to join our Engineering & Technology team in Sweden. In this role you will report into the Director for CAPEX Projects and you will be responsible for delivering CAPEX projects and providing Engineering support across our 11 production facilities in the country. This role will be based in our Swedish headquarters in Stockholm although we will also consider candidates based near other Arla offices or production sites across the country.

About the role

As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for the planning and execution of key Strategic CAPEX projects to deliver Marketing and Supply Chain initiatives through new product launches, capacity increases and cost improvements across our manufacturing sites in Europe. You will manage the projects from concept through execution / start-up ensuring project scope is fully and correctly defined and is delivered on time, on budget and at agreed-upon performance criteria. You will also be expected to play an active role in developing the Engineering Standards and Ways of Working and in supporting the implementation of these across the organisation as well as in providing coaching and mentoring to our more junior project managers and site engineering project leads.

In this role you support our production sites with world class leadership on projects that are primarily of a technical nature, for example increasing dairy capacity to manufacture new products. You will work closely with external contractors / vendors, maintaining a professional relationship whilst ensuring high quality execution. From start to finish, you will monitor and control the project plan including budget compliance and adherence to specification, dealing professionally with obstacles that come your way.

As you in this role will travel to various Arla sites in Sweden you can expect extensive travelling depending on where you are located.

Who are you?

We are looking for an experiences Project Manager with experience in a similar role, within an FMCG company or other manufacturing/food processing industry where you have gained the expertise to drive major projects and manage co-workers in an international company with multiple stakeholders. 

Preferably you will have a bachelor degree in engineering or similar technical subject in order to add true value in a complex environment. Mastery in CAPEX Project Management (Budget, Cash Flow, Schedule, Resource and Scope Management / Delegation) is a big plus and you also have demonstrated capability to manage complex and challenging projects in adverse conditions / circumstances. Fluency in English is required to work effectively in a global organisation, but strong Swedish skills are also necessary.  

A strong business acumen helps you in both liaising with Senior Site Directors and VP Operations but at the same time you must be comfortable on the factory floor in a hands on capacity. As an independent, self-starting person, you will work effectively without close supervision and have the ability to set purpose and vision, sometimes in ambiguity. Business exposure to these projects is high, so you must be able to deliver under pressure and on tight timelines.
