Do you want to work with advanced food science and use your skills developing epoch-making, milk-based ingredients in powder form? Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group, with an ambition to become the true global leader in value-added whey. Your new work place is in AFI R&D based in Nr. Vium, which in total employ approx. 70 sharp and innovative profiles. You will be part of the Separation & Drying team; we are 9 members who are dedicated in providing service to the development of ingredients by means of separation technology. Our growth ambition is huge, and we are in urgent need for capabilities that can strengthen our research projects.
Separation technology and membrane filtration
As Senior Food Scientist you will be the prime mover for a couple of designated projects within development of products and processes. Your job starts in the planning phase and ends with proper documentation of the project results and findings. In the intervening period you will make sure the project is carried through and assessed. Separation technology such as membrane filtration and chromatography are among our core competencies, and you will have a key role strengthening and further developing our expert resources within these areas. In close cooperation with our production sites and sales department you will head the implementation of new processes and products. As such, you will have a unique opportunity to actually follow your projects through all the way from idea to consumer and have a key role in further devolvement of one of Arla’s growth areas. You will attend seminars and build a wide range of contacts to suppliers as well as Danish and foreign universities and researchers.
Experienced Food Scientist with profound Technical and Project Manager skills
You are an Engineer in Food Science, Chemistry or Dairy Science, or you have acquired comparable knowhow from another natural sciences degree. You have 5-7 years of experience with project management and separation technology, such as membrane filtration. To be a success, it is important that you have at least basic knowledge of milk proteins, fat, minerals and their characteristics. You know that proper documentation is a very important part of a successful research project, and you structure your workday and take pride in delivering according to time schedule.
On the personal side, you are characterised as an independent profile with power and authority to work in a dynamic organisation where no two days are alike. It takes a great deal of can-do attitude and the ability to engage in co-operation with a long range of stakeholders in and outside Arla Foods.
