The Cooking & Food Inspiration Category team in Stockholm is searching for a Senior Commercial Innovation Manager that will be working with the local team as well as the European organization. The role has one direct report and are also leading several project teams across functions and markets. You will be reporting to the Category Director for Cooking & Food Inspiration in Sweden.
Responsible for one of our most prioritized Innovation Platforms
As a Sr Commercial Innovation Manager you are driving the NPD Pipeline within the Cooking Category and securing that Arla Foods is taking the category leadership when it comes to innovations within the Cooking & Food Inspiration Category. You secure that the pipeline is filled with the right prioritized NPDs that will make us competitive in the market place and grow our profitably.
Within the framework of Arla Cooking Category strategies and Arla Growth Platforms, you will be identifying and exploiting opportunities for future growth and feeding this into the creation and delivery of the +3 years innovation strategy. The work is based on deep consumer insights. You truly understand trends and consumer needs and are strong in anticipating and generating consumer insight that feeds the innovation pipeline with concepts and possibilities. You will be managing high-impact innovation projects through concept development and commercializing processes in close cooperation with category and brand management in the marketing organization. You understand the commercial need of stretching both from break through strategic innovations to more tactical commercial innovations, such as line extensions, to also drive organic growth. You are the one ensuring that these projects result in robust business cases in accordance to our innovation processes. You lead the prioritized and approved innovation projects end-to-end before you hand over to the category team for commercial roll out.
The coming years you will focus on leading one of our most prioritized European Must Winn Battle (MWB) platforms. This means stearing and creating direction for the overall project organisation. The role includes extensive stakeholder management which calls for the ability to both create direction but also the ability to welcome and include other perspectives into the process. In the MWB work you will work together with local Category teams (Sweden & Finland) as well as European Brand Director, New Product Developers, External Contracting Manufacturing, Food Service, Research Managers, Global Product Managers and others. The platform is to be developed for Sweden, Finland and Food Service in the first step, but also to be ready for roll out on other European markets. You will be responsible for driving project progress and necessary decisions in a Steering committee including a group of Sr Managers, in order to ensure progress, priority and speed in decisions.
The MWB responsibility stretches from executing the Innovation pipeline to Brand Strategy and execution. A large part of the work will include the development of a Brand Platform, as well as design and communication. The other major part of the work will be to lead the organisation in the execution of the pipeline. You will own the Business cases and that they are signed off timely and according to our Innovation Process. The role also includes a continues development based on consumer insights to create a pipeline beyond 2021.
Who are you?
We are looking for a candidate with at least 7 years of experience within Strategic Marketing including brand building, communication and design development as well as new concept development and driving new product development processes. If you have experience from working as a Sr Brand and or Innovation Manager within a global organisation you can be the right candidate for the Sr Commercial Innovation Manager role. The candidate we are looking for has a strong ability to structure, plan and to follow through on project timelines and has a proven experience from running complex innovation and brand projects. For this job we are looking for a candidate that is fluent in Swedish and English
