One of our colleagues is moving on to a new opportunity in Arla, and we are therefore looking for a senior manager in the European MYPC (Milk, Yoghurt, Powder and Cooking) category team. We are a small central team based in Aarhus, part of the EU Zone Commercial Operations team. Together with our many european colleagues, we thrive to develop our categories and the Arla Brand by staying front-line obsessed.
Setting direction, supporting strategic brand growth& innovation, driving scale commercially and in supply chain
As senior manager in the EU Zone, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the european category strategy for selected categories. You will be an active part of the annual direction setting process as well as the Arla 2025 strategy process. We are also responsible for developing and implementing our EU sustainable packaging strategy, in cooperation with the newly created packaging team at Arla Innovation Centre. This means that you will propose our future packaging big bets, drive our sustainable packaging roadmaps towards 2025, as well as lead selected cross-european projects.
Supporting Innovation and strategic brand growth:
You will have a key role in supporting the Arla Brand organisation and the European community to achieve our KPIs, using the forums you are responsible for, or by leading selected projects (for ex. innovative sustainable packaging solutions, or Sprint processes). You will use every opportunity to drive scale on innovation, relentlessly pursuing cross market solutions and mindset.
Driving scale commercially:
Our MYPC business is highly local, but in an ever increasing global world, we see growing similarities in the needs of our consumers across the European markets. As a member of our team you will not only be responsible for identifying and leveraging cross market opportunities but, more importantly, ensure that we in Europe have the right growth mindset by encouraging cooperation as well as share & steal.
In cooperation with the rest of our team, you have an essential role in driving the european category community through relevant forums and projects. You will lead the Senior Manager community, develop the agenda for the Director community and participate when relevant.
Driving scale in supply chain:
If and when necessary, you will lead the implementation of complexity reduction projects. Additionally, you will be involved in tasks or projects that will help efficiencies in supply chain, hereby becoming a key element in the realisation of our Calcium and EBIT targets.
Marketing and category expertise
Your CV shows a successful track record of minimum 5-7 years in FMCG marketing and/or category management roles, and a degree in international business, marketing or similar.
You are an excellent project manager who knows how to operate in an international environment with many stakeholders. Your commercial understanding and performance orientation is strong, and you know exactly how to use your influencing and motivating skills to get your message through to your stakeholders. In other words, you know when to push and when to back off. In this position you will also need excellent communication skills in English. You are strategic and analytical and focused on delivering strong financial results - and also willing to go the extra mile to gain success. You must be able to travel approximately 20 days annually. The position is based in Aarhus, Denmark.
