Sales Manager Retail Belgium

As our Sales Manager, based in Berchem (near Antwerp), you will be responsible for the sales performance for our branded and private label business in Belgium. This is an entrepreneurial challenge, as in Belgium business is just getting started. We launched our branded product portfolio (Arla skyr, Castello and Apetina) at the beginning of this year at Delhaize and as of September 2018 Carrefour and Lambrechts will proudly be added to our customer portfolio. So we are growing, fast! Based on the Arla global strategy you define and implement specific regional market strategies as you see fit. You will do this in close corporation and alignment with our Brand Manager Belgium. You will report to the Sales Director located in Nijkerk, The Netherlands. Furthermore, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Negotiate private label contracts (half yearly)
  • P&L for Belgian business unit;
  • Delivery of business unit strategy & yearly targets;
  • Market sales operations for all channels;
  • Shopper marketing and category management development, incl. POS Marketing;
  • S&OP process;
  • Develop, execute and follow-up on sales plans;
  • Translate relevant market insights and present these to headquarters.

What you bring to the table

You are an experienced Sales Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset and an extensive and relevant network in the Belgian FMCG business. You have 8+ years of relevant experience where you have used your analytical mindset to translate market needs into new business opportunities.

You hold a master’s degree and have developed strong and solid sales and preferably marketing competences. You have excellent project management- and great communication and presentation skills. You know how to quickly analyze and grasp new markets, segments, products and customers.
