We produce and market specialized protein ingredients for the global medical nutrition, sports nutrition and functional food industry.
Take AFI’s dairy business to the next level
With base and as part of Arla Foods Ingredients office in Århus, Viby J Denmark, you will be responsible for value-added sales of ingredients to sports nutrition customers in UK and selected European markets. The customer portfolio will reach from smaller individual customers to large international customers.
You will handle your own customer portfolio with good support from our very skilled team within sports nutrition. Therefore, it is important that you have a high degree of goal-oriented drive towards the customer and at the same time act as a team player with the rest of the organization. You will encourage and develop strategic partnerships with key customers as well as internal stakeholders within the commercial organization.
You will play a significant role in the implementation of the business unit strategy being responsible for developing and executing customer plans as well as making sure that targets are met.
Your business sense and analytical mind-set will come into play when identifying and pursuing new opportunities in order to develop our business even further. You are driven by results and are capable of obtaining the best possible deals through professional and authoritative negotiations.
On top of your business area responsibility, it is expected that you contribute actively to developing the business unit, as well as developing AFI as a whole. You will be a part of the European and global sales team to sports nutrition. You will report to the Head of Sales in Europe.
Expect about 60-80 travel days a year mainly to destinations in UK & Europe doing customer visits or participating in trade shows.
Excellent sales skills and technical product knowledge combined with ambition and drive
You have proven sales experience within the food industry, preferably within the ingredients industry for sports nutrition. Furthermore, you have a technical product understanding either from your educational background or your work experience. This enables you to understand our offering to sports nutrition industry and use this actively to grow your business area.
You have a proven record of working systematically with both small and large customers. You must be able to handle varying workloads, keep calm when things are hectic and stand your ground when the going gets tough.
You are good with numbers and work in a structured way. As you will be operating in a truly international environment, you will need extraordinarily good communication skills to appreciate different cultures, as well as the ability to cooperate with people at all levels.
