We work across and beyond product categories such as ‘Butter & Spreads’, ‘Cheese’, ‘Milk &Yoghurt’, ‘Cooking’ and ‘Milk Based Beverages’. Your main objective is to know the full spectra of innovative ingredients and technologies that allow us to develop healthy and natural products. In relation to this you will manage an umbrella of technologies under which numerous development projects sit. You will build a broad network across Arla Foods and work collaboratively with relevant functions such as New Product Development, Science, Global Nutrition, Legal, Regulatory, Procurement and Supply Chain in order to deliver new business opportunities and enable reformulation of existing portfolio. It is key that you envision the future and mature new ideas whilst having a strong business mindset. You will secure commitment from key stakeholders and facilitate business implementation by bringing forward commercial rationale and business case calculations.
Key skills required
Strong project management skills is absolute key as well as the ability to overlook an umbrella of projects in relation to your area of responsibility You have solid knowledge of ingredients and additives common in dairy products such as sweeteners, stabilizers, flavors and inclusions and their interaction with the dairy matrix. Expertise and the willingness to gain even deeper knowledge in one or more of these areas is preferred. If you have experience with non-traditional dairy ingredients that is an advantage
You feel comfortable both in a dairy processing and commercial environment and utilize your strong presentation skills to effectively communicate with relevant functions across the organization when translating technical solutions into consumer propositions that are aligned with our strategy. You leverage expertise inside and outside the organization to deliver innovative solutions to business challenges.
You have a MSc or PhD in Food Science, Process Engineering or similar and previous experience in FMCG R&D product or technology development roles where your project management skills have been developed to the fullest. If you are familiar with Agile and Design Thinking that is a plus. You have a performance-oriented mindset and good business understanding as well as basic knowledge of business finance. Finally, you are fluent in English both written and verbally.
