Are you ready to set the QEHS agenda for the production of special Cheese at our Site in Gjesing – Skanderborg. Gjesing Dairy is a traditional dairy that produces various mold cheeses according to ancient traditions and recipes, and we produce almost 8500 tons of cheese under different brands, among them Castello. We are 125 employees at Gjesing Dairy.
All products are of the highest quality and we are certified by IFS and ISO 14001.
High product quality and work environment standards for our cheese production
As QEHS Site Manager you will have the overall responsibility for quality management, food safety and work environment ensuring that our production always meets customers and 3rd party accreditation standards. You will deal with quality issues and improve the overall quality management of our products by developing and managing the QEHS function. You will be in charge of 1 dedicated employee in our QEHS department, and 3 more employees at the site, but you have contact with all employees at the Site. As leader you walk the talk, you are genuine, and you act as a team player and role model for your employees. Lean will be a natural part of your everyday work. You are in charge of embedding Lean in our daily work to ensure, that we are always 100 % on top of our QEHS processes to maintain our elevated standards of quality, environment, health and safety.
As part of the site’s management team you will be an important asset for our site’s future strategy, performance and culture. As such, you will co-develop and execute short and long-term plans in close dialogue with your colleagues in the site management team. Lastly, this job will give you a wide contact surface and interaction with colleagues from Arla’s central QEHS department and other sites.
Decisive, robust and solid food manufacturing experience
You have leadership experience from a quality or production function, and you preferably hold a university degree in dairy engineering, food science or a comparable discipline. You have already proven that you are a competent and open minded leader with the ability to see the big picture to create direction, build commitment and guide your employees to perform at their very best to create remarkable improvement/results. You have experience with government compliance, quality systems and audits. Given that your overriding objective is to make sure that customers and stakeholders are satisfied and confident buying our products, you play a key role in ensuring that the quality department is properly educated and trained. As we are focusing intensively on safe working environment, it is important that you are able to continue our positive results.
Lastly, you have strong communication skills in spoken and written Danish and English.
