Arla Foods is expanding the Cooking & Food Inspiration Category in Stockholm and we are searching for a Project Manager Commercial Innovation. You will report to a Senior Commercial Innovation Manager.
Project leading innovation and marketing execution
As a Project Manager Commercial Innovation you will be driving multiple and complex innovation and new product development projects, as well as marketing and brand projects. Together with the Sr Commercial Innovating Manger you will be handling the execution of the prioritized innovation pipeline, The coming years you will focus on executing one of our most prioritized European Must Winn Battle (MWB) platforms. Within the framework of the growth platform strategies, you will execute and deliver on the prioritized opportunities to ensure future growth. The platform is to be developed for Sweden, Finland and Food Service in the first step, but also to be ready for roll out on other European markets.
You will manage and lead prioritized and approved innovation projects end-to-end, before you hand over to the local category teams to roll out commercially. You will work closely with NPD teams, to develop products and packaging. You will be leading project teams of NPD mangers, packaging engineers, external contracting mangers, and supply chain experts etc. Your role will be to create direction for the project organisation, when it comes to target briefs, timelines and other project frameworks, and to steer the executional work. Some of the projects will include third party manufacturing processes and within these projects you team up with the Global Contract Manufacturing team. You will also need to work closely with supply chain to ensure successful launch set ups of the NPDs. The project lead also includes the building of business cases, including Retail Sweden and other European markets as well as Food Service. A commercial understanding is important when it comes to development of business cases. You will gather the other European markets market roll out plans and commercial estimation. The business cases will be run according to our Innovation process; through both the local Swedish gate process as well as European gate process when needed. For the local Swedish retail market, it is important to keep a close cooperation with category and brand management in order to get the alignment of the commercial insights in the business case. Furthermore, responsibility of developing Capex business cases according to internal processes, will be part of the job.
The MWB responsibility stretches from execution of the innovation pipeline to Brand Strategy execution. The MWB responsibility also includes marketing projects, such as research set up across markets together with the research manager, execution of design framework, and taking part in communication briefing, evaluation and possibly also development. Further on in the executional phase, the responsibility will include the set-up of tool kits for smooth market roll outs on other European markets. You will be the one ensuring that the other European market gets the insights and information they need to develop their own GTM-plans. For this consumer understanding, local marketing expertise including understanding of the local customer marketing needs are important.
Who are you?
We are looking for a candidate with approx. 5 years of experience within Innovation & Concept Management and Marketing Development and Execution roles. Previous brand design and communication experiences is valuable, as well as experience from concept and new product development processes. The candidate we are looking for is experienced in complex project lead, working in the matrix and have a strong ability to structure, plan and to follow through on project timelines. Furthermore, it is important to be good at collaborations with various functions, to be clear in communication, and to have the ability to listen to others expertise and to build on this to create a strong execution plan. If you also have proven experience from running innovation and brand projects within a global matrix organisation you have the background needed. For this job we are also looking for a candidate that is fluent in English.
