Malpas is a small packing plant based in the Cheshire countryside where we specialise in complexity packing and small run volumes. Through significant investment over the last two years, we now have a dedicated packing facility that specialises in Mini Portions. Following a successful launch of our Mini Portions packing facility we launched our product into one of the Top 4 Retailers, where it went on to become the most successful product launch within the Dairy Category in 2016.
The successful applicant will join our production team on site where you will play a significant role within the packing and flowrap team. You will work on a 3 on, 3 off days only shift pattern.
About the Role:
As part of the production team on site, you will be working together to achieve goals and targets packing a range of products in different formats for a variety of customer.
- Ensure quality and food safety within in own area of responsibility
- Ensure an efficient and stable production/packing process
- Challenge processes and practices, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimisation
- Resolve reports and escalates issues regarding operations as appropriate
- Ensure that the department complies with Arla Foods’ standards and policies
The successful candidate will have ideally worked in a similar production role within a food manufacturing environment and will be a strong communicator with an understanding of food safety principles and practices.
Most importantly you will need to be able to operate within a challenging but rewarding factory environment that is physically demanding and can entail repetitive tasks. Add in a can do attitude, willingness to work, with good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
