Arla’s Procurement department is strengthening its position towards the global Arla organisation through category based reporting lines and increasing the number of employees to deliver on the ambitious targets.
Join Arla’s Procurement team spread across Denmark, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, UK, Poland and Hong Kong. On behalf of our global organisation, we manage procurement activities of an annual spend of ~3.5 billion EUR. You will work out of Aarhus and report to our Procurement Director.
Take charge of sourcing projects and manage stakeholders
As our new category buyer, you are responsible for tasks linked to the strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management. More specifically, you will be responsible for purchasing specific packaging products and projects. In doing so, you will establish and develop optimal relationships with our suppliers and work closely with colleagues throughout Arla when managing projects, driving tenders and negotiating prices. One of your primary tasks will be to drive cost reduction projects, tenders and price benchmarks using our sourcing tool Ariba.
Purchasing experience with a flair for project management
You have a commercial degree or the like, supplemented with some experience within procurement. Maybe you have worked within procurement or packaging a year or two of full-time experience. What is important is that you have acquired basic skills within project management, negotiation and stakeholder management, knowing how to approach and secure buy-in from stakeholders.
You drive tasks proactively, fostering fruitful collaboration through relationships and have a strong drive and positive attitude. You have a structured approach to your tasks and a willingness to travel across Europe. Lastly, you thrive working in a dynamic, multicultural environment, and you:
- Have some purchasing experienceas well as technical and economic knowledge
- Have expertise within relationship management and project management
- Speak and write English fluently
