Arla Foods Llandyrnog is the home of Anchor Cheese. We have 100 employees on site who are separated in to the following departments; Finance, Engineering, Production, Process, Logistics, Quality, Projects and PTD.  We have a new opening to join our friendly team as Whey Block Operative within the Process Department. This position involves working a 3 on, 3 off days and nights 12 hour shift pattern.

Make an Impact

You will take responsibility for the control and operation of the whey processing department, ensuring product quality is to the highest standard, department audits are complied with and legislation and GMP standards are maintained. Using your problem solving ability you will react to issues in a timely manner, with the awareness of short interval control. In addition, you will ensure checks are completed in relation to the role and report deviations.  Duties include:

  • Responsible for the operational control of Cream, WPC and Permeate processing and all associated CIP’s.
  • Supports department requirements in relation to volumes & absence.
  • Checks plant routinely on shift, knows key points, safe environment.                             
  • Ensures department audits are complied with to correct standard.
  • Undertakes relevant training and upskills members of the team

Experienced in manufacturing

The successful candidate will have an awareness of HACCP, COSSH, risk assessments and department audits and manual handling. You will be food safety certified or willing to train towards this. Computer literate with accurate data inputting skills, any experience of SAP beneficial.  Ultimately, you will have a high work ethic, enjoy working as part of a productive team and look forward to making an impact in the world of dairy.
