Organic Brand Manager – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract - Leeds

We want to use organic as the gold standard in milk and encourage more and more consumers to spend a small amount more on their milk for the reassurance that they are making a difference.

We have developed a clear long term strategy to drive organic which involves differentiating our products and packaging, communicating the benefits of organic and making organic more accessible and available in store. We have a huge agenda over the next 12 months, and beyond, which has the full support of the EMT and UK Leadership team.

We are currently looking for a brand manager to join us at our head office in Leeds on a 6 month fixed term contract. This position will sit in the Milk & Organic category team and will report to the Organic Senior Category and Brand manager.

Responsibilities
You will drive the dialogue element of the organic strategy, developing a communication strategy to communicate the benefits of organic to UK consumers. You will work with the Yeo Valley team to use Yeo Valley as a champion for organic messaging and help deliver specific projects across the organic brand portfolio.

The key responsibilities in this role will be:

• Leading a major comms campaign to drive organic understanding amongst consumers in the UK
• Delivering shopper initiatives to drive organic products in store
• Working with industry bodies to collaborate with other brands
• Developing a claims programme to enable the biodiversity campaign on Yeo Valley in 2020
• Working closely with the organic farmers to provide confidence in the brand plans
• Managing the innovation budget working with insight, packaging agencies and sites

Skills
To be successful in this role you will have significant brand and comms experience within the FMCG industry and a true passion for sustainability. Furthermore, you will also have a strong track record in PR and digital communication. With good communication skills, you will provide leadership to key project and cross-functional teams, demonstrating both commercial acumen and effective time and project management skills. Finally you will be creative, confident and outgoing with a true passion for brands and a desire to achieve marketing excellence.
