Challenging & Rewarding Opportunity
Joining a team of circa 5/6 Engineers on shift who are working to become fully multi-skilled managing both planned and reactive maintenance across fast moving machinery (some old some new), which has been heavily invested in. Engineers will work on a shift rota pattern, covering days and nights which works out approximately 50% days and 50% nights – an average of 42 hours per week. Reporting into the Shift Leader, and ultimately the Engineering Manager, you will maintain process and packaging equipment ensuring that the daily production plan and maximum plant performance is achieved.
The role will cover Engineering duties around the factory. Due to the nature of the business a reasonable percentage of the work will be reactive unplanned maintenance, this work will be prioritised and you will be expected to input your work logs onto the computer based maintenance system. You will be expected to support Arla best practice programs, continuous improvement, 5 S’s, Kaizan, etc.
We would welcome applications from candidates who ideally have a strong electrical bias but willing to be flexible and consider someone who is multi-skilled with a mechanical bias, preferably with a previous background of maintaining equipment within a manufacturing environment. A HNC (or equivalent) in electrical\mechanical principles is desirable bit not essential. Experience of Automation/PLC and Siemens control would also be beneficial.
In return you can expect a competitive salary and benefits package and the opportunity to work with a market leading company that encourages internal promotion.
