We’re one of the world’s biggest dairy producers. Join our Taw Valley site in North Tawton, Devon as a Multi-skilled Engineer, and improve the way we make food that is loved by millions.
Here at Arla we do much more than make some of the world’s favourite dairy products. A responsible and forward-looking business, we make healthy taste delicious, mornings worth getting up for, and family dinners unforgettable. Cravendale®, Anchor®, Lurpak® and Castello® – names like these make us a vital, natural part of modern life in over 100 countries worldwide.
Create the Future
Making our highly automated, highly efficient processes work even better. Reporting to the Site Services Team Leader, your key responsibilities will be to achieve high levels for maintenance, CI and area standards. You will contribute to developing the PPM schedule onsite utilising Arla best practices, lead continuous improvement, introduce condition based monitoring and embed RCA (Root Cause Analysis) into the working day. You will also provide shift cover for the effluent plant operation as and when required.
This is predominantly a day shift role 6am - 6pm on a 4 on 4 off basis, however there may be some requirement to cover night shifts so applicants must be prepared / able to work these hours if need be.
Grow with Arla

You won’t just be improving our technology – you’ll be improving your own prospects too. We’re in-vesting £100m across our sites, so you’ll get to broaden your skills on the very latest machinery.
You will be a talented and qualified engineer with FMCG manufacturing experience and a good understanding of LEAN techniques. Experience with industrial steam generating boilers and chilled water and refrigeration plants is desirable. You will be used to working to professional and industry standards, and will be confident with electrical or mechanical engineering.
